ABOUT ME
I am Manisha, a certified personal trainer, corrective exercise specialist, yoga instructor, and the founder of Misha's FitSpirit LLC.
I have been in the fitness industry for over a decade,
conducting personal training and group training sessions.
As a specialist I understand human movement patterns
and how they affect the underlying
alignment and functionality of the body.
I have chosen this profession to enable people to become healthier in both body and mind using holistic methods. I am very
passionate about working with diverse people from all walks of life.
There is so much more to fitness than treadmills and body building, in both contemporary and traditional methods of training. I enjoy motivating my clients to move and work their physical bodies in ways they previously thought to be impossible.
I have helped clients who have previously been functionally and structurally impaired to improve muscle and joint imbalances and regain strength and confidence.
I have been fortunate to have worked with people, especially women, of all ages and trained individuals with various conditions.
Working with a varied age spectrum has given me a much broader perspective and understanding.
My degree and study in psychology has also helped me develop an insight into the human mind and behavior, mind-body connection, and impact on one’s life.
My passion for understanding how the human mechanism works led me to learning yoga, meditation and breathing practices with a Guru (genuine learned and experienced master) for over 25 years.
This taught me the profound impact and change that yoga and meditation can have on the human mind and body.

PERSONAL TRAINING
​​When we meet, I will conduct an assessment of your fitness/health level, lifestyle and habits.
Depending on your level and needs, I will develop programs that are catered to your goals, strengths and challenges.
My sessions are custom designed to build strength and flexibility through a variety of activities that incorporate all muscle groups.
My customized workouts provide dynamic warm ups, total body conditioning, muscle strength, cardio and muscle endurance, core strength and flexibility.
As you progress, I will work with you to increase the activity level and introduce new challenges by gradually making safe and effective modifications to your program.

ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS

Others want to build muscle strength or flexibility as they age, to keep up with their changing bodies.
Both sedentary and active clients of all ages come to me for personal training to balance the overused and underused muscles that create an imbalance over time.
Wherever you are in your fitness journey, I will help you reach your goals with a holistic approach to training.
Nothing is out of reach; whether it is building lean mass, changing your body composition or increasing stamina / strength, all goals become realistic and we can achieve them step by step.

CORRECTIVE EXERCISES
Imbalances happen to everyone as a natural result of relying on some muscle groups more than others or overdoing your favorite exercises. Also, a past injury may have resulted in unresolved imbalances.
As a Corrective Exercise Specialist, I include exercises that will improve posture-alignment and correct muscular imbalances / mal-alignments that can
cause injury or pain.
Corrective exercises are incorporated into your training routine as needed to improve posture, joint stability or any other problem to keep you leading a healthy and active life.

YOGA STYLE FITNESS
As a certified yoga and meditation trainer, I incorporate yoga-style movements with an emphasis on development of proper body alignment, flexibility, and strength.
In addition, I use meditation and breathing techniques that instill a feeling of calmness, confidence and strength, which you can take home beyond your workout space, and with continual application, can have a long-term impact on your daily life.

HATHA YOGA
Exercising the body is a great tool for developing mindfulness and relieving stress, anxiety or fear. My personal training sessions can incorporate guided meditation practices to help you change and improve your focus or attention. Breathing, affirmations, and release techniques can be included to help you achieve profound transformations which will enhance creativity and build an inner peace.
Meditation is a process of building your mind and spirit which enables you to fully realize and access your infinite potential.
